Characteristics and uses:
DOTP and DOP are isomers with the same molecular number and molecular weight. They are main plasticizers.
The physical properties of DOTP and DOP are similar, and the mechanical properties of products are similar, but DOTP is linear symmetry structure and DOP is spherical structure, which gives DOTP more prominent characteristics.
In terms of electrical resistance, the volume resistivity of DOTP is 20 times that of DOP.
_In terms of heat resistance, the flash point of DOTP is higher than that of DOP above 10 C, so DOTP is especially suitable for high insulation cables of 70 - 90 C grade.
_In cold resistance, DOTP is obviously superior to DOP, slightly lower than DOA, DOS, but the price is significantly lower than DOA, DOS, so it is the seal bar of automobile, refrigerator, doors and windows, which can reduce the cost.
DOTP is superior to DOP in extraction resistance, volatility resistance and glass transition temperature. Therefore, it is also suitable for soft PVC products such as artificial grass, plastic film, water pipe, adhesive tape, shoes, etc.
It can also be used as plasticizer and lubricant for synthetic rubber.
